Other Door Job Considerations

When a Door Job is completed, everything from the pricing to the definitions is saved on a per/job basis. This means if you change a door definition or a material price, jobs already entered will keep their existing measurements/pricing.

·      The easiest way to force a change on a job is to do the following:

In the Door Job, delete the Item and re-type it in. If there is a D, simply delete it and retype D. This will pull the most current pricing/definitions from the system settings for that Item. If there are 20 Items, you will need to do this for each one. A quick method to retype a lot of Items is to just hit D, then the down arrow key, and repeat this until finished.

·      Caution: Remember re-entering the Item (such as D) will change the line to the "active specification" (for material, door, front, and profiles). If you are trying to update pricing for an existing job based on changes made in the system settings, be alert to material, door/front and profile settings that were originally entered. You may want/need to change the active (1st) line under material, door/front and profiles to match what was originally entered. A quick way to do this is to use the clipboard looking icon which will grab the specs of any item.

·      Use this button for previewing multiple page jobs. To keep pricing accurate when viewing reports, you will have to manually scroll one page at a time until the last page to preview the correct dollar amounts on the last page. This will not affect straight printing to the printer.

·      Note: Do not delete and leave blank any pricing fields. To eliminate a pricing field, place a 0 in the field, otherwise (if blank) you may receive an "invalid use of null" error message.
